Scouts Support Community Defibrillator
High Wycombe Scouts have helped support the Keep Hill Residents Association with the installation of a new defibrillator at the John Wood Scout Centre. The centre provides a central point for access within the Keep Hill and Warrenwood area of High Wycombe.
The defibrillator is housed in a lit cabinet to protect against the weather whilst being powered to ensure the unit is always fully charged ready to be used. Simple to use, verbal instructions are given by the defibrillator itself to anyone needing to use it.
Two members of the 16th High Wycombe were on hand to give their ‘thumbs up’ to the new equipment.
First aid is a significant part of the Scout training programme, with all children offered age appropriate first aid training.
